What locking UB does

Locking UB mints vUB, a vote-escrowed balance that carries your weight in Unibase governance. The longer you lock, the more vUB the same amount of UB mints — up to 2.5× at the two-year maximum. vUB is not transferable and is not a receipt you can trade; it exists to weight votes toward people who are staying.

Minimum lock
7 days
Maximum lock
2 years
Maximum boost
2.5×
Unstaking cooldown
7 days

What it does not do

There is no reward stream today. The mainnet vault runs with a reward rate of zero, so locking UB pays no yield — what it buys is voting power, and the boost curve decides how much of it. If a reward stream is ever turned on, it will be a governance decision with an on-chain record, not a change to this page.

Locked UB cannot be withdrawn early. When the lock ends you start a 7-day cooldown, and the UB becomes withdrawable after it. Plan the lock length against money you will not need inside that window.

vUB is what governance counts. If you are here to understand the token itself rather than to lock any, the UB token page covers supply, contracts and the audit.
